It's so easy to make the best elderberry syrup ever! Late May, early June is time for making delicious elderberry flower syrup. The flower heads of the elderberry plant open up and release their aroma, letting us know that warm, summery weather is here to stay! With this simple recipe, you can make your own elderberry flower syrup. All you need are: 20 elderberry flower heads, 1 Kilogram of organic cane sugar, 1 liter of water, 20 grams (not milligrams!) of citric acid and 2 organic lemons. Put this wonderful smell of late spring into a bottle and enjoy its flavor for up to 1 year!
